Todd Parr’s It’s Okay to Be Different offers young readers affirmation of their differences, as it cleverly celebrates diversity in all its forms. This colorful picture book encourages early literacy, enhances emotional development, celebrates multiculturalism, and promotes character growth. It’s Okay to Be Different will inspire kids to celebrate their individuality, while learning acceptance of others and gaining self-confidence.

Third-grader Andrew English, The Fair Housing Center’s “Jr. Guest Blogger”, leaves us with this review of the book:

This book shows how it’s okay to be different. No matter what size you are or what color you are, you are special and important just for being you. And we should all accept each other.
