Shaker Heights Landlord Training
Twice a year, the City of Shaker Heights offers a comprehensive
landlord training. It is especially designed for existing and prospective
Shaker two-family landlords. The program's goal is to encourage superior
property management and maintenance, provide professional training to
owner-occupant rental property owners and help our landlords maintain
competitive edge in the marketplace. The training is delivered by a team
of professionals with expertise in many facets of rental property ownership.
Training is an interactive, encouraging discussion of real-life situations and
circumstances. Even experienced landlords gain valuable insights.
Topics include: Ohio Landlord-Tenant Laws and Legal Issues, Fair Housing Laws,
the eviction process, property & business management, property maintenance, city
requirements, regulations and programs, and marketing strategies.

HUD presents Fair Housing Accessibility
Training
HUD's Fair Housing Accessibility FIRST program promotes compliance with the
Fair Housing Act design and construction requirements. The program offers
comprehensive and detailed instruction, useful online web resources, and a
toll-free information line for technical guidance.

New Strategies in Fair Housing Statewide
Conference
The purpose of this conference is to think broadly about new strategies for
ending housing segregation and discrimination in a systemic way. Rather
than simply proposing amendments to the Fair Housing Act, this conference aims
to help develop completely new ways of addressing these problems.
